In addition, it increases plant productivity and quality by nearly 30%.

Infrastructure Investment for the Farm:

Seed to Table farm follows all-organic farming practices and strives to not only conserve, but build up our soil and natural environment to promote the healthiest plants and community possible. This requires equipment that is specially made to preserve, not destroy, soil microorganisms and that is also efficient for our team to use.  Use of appropriate technology in small-scale farming is one of the most effective methods to increase the food security of our community while also promoting conservation of our natural resources.

Items are listed in priority order:

  • 10 ft Unverferth Perfecta Field Cultivator

    • Bed preparation equipment that replaces rototillers. Rototillers used over and over again can be extremely damaging to soil ecosystems and thus plant health. The Perfecta increases efficiency and conserves topsoil to promote a thriving soil biology

Help us be able to use wheels on the journey, by putting the refrigerator unit on level ground-saving our backs and time!

To Support Those Doing The Work:

Our team is small but mighty! To grow the veggies, educate the students, write the grants, distribute produce at the farmers market and so much more - behind all of it is a team of amazing individuals who are dedicated to increasing the health and wellness of the community. Farming takes a huge toll on our staff’s bodies and we strive to offer them continuous ways to support their bodies and minds so they can keep providing for our community in a safe and supported manner. Our organization is small and building and we know our community loves to get creative, so we thought we would reach out to see what creative ways we can support our staff in the work they do as educators, farmers and non profit-eers. We have six full time staff during the season, and three year-round staff members.

  • Local gym memberships so they have dedicated space to stretch, strengthen and embrace self care.

  • Regular massage or body care services

  • Access to weekend getaways to refuel

  • Quality workwear. Our team consists of women who work hard outside in all conditions - from snow to 100 degree weather - what we wear on our feet and bodies supports us.
